Overview
Tioman Island, located 32 km off Peninsular Malaysia’s east coast, is a densely forested island with eight main villages, including Kampung Tekek.
It is surrounded by numerous coral reefs and is a popular scuba diving spot.
The island has been featured in the 1958 movie, South Pacific, and TIME Magazine ranked it as one of the world’s most beautiful.
The marine area around Tioman Island and eight nearby islands is declared as marine parks and reserves.
The Fishermen Dive Team conducts weekend trips on their very own dive boat – Fishermen Dive Explorer – during the Tioman diving season (February to November).
This allows for divers to cruise and dive all the way up from Mersing to Tioman, letting you spend more time on the beautiful and exotic paradise!
